Description We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Columbia, South Carolina. This position focuses on supporting attorneys in a general litigation practice, including areas such as personal injury, family law, business disputes, and real estate. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks efficiently in a precise legal environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in drafting motions, letters, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.

Communicate effectively with clients, addressing inquiries and providing updates on case progress.

Enter and manage time and billing information using Perfect Law or similar case management systems.

Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible.

Edit and utilize existing templates for legal filings, tailoring them to meet case-specific requirements.

Coordinate schedules and deadlines to ensure timely completion of legal tasks.

Conduct research and prepare summaries to support litigation efforts.

Collaborate with attorneys to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to legal procedures.

Maintain a meticulous demeanor and ensure confidentiality in all interactions.

Follow business casual dress code guidelines, with casual attire permitted on Fridays. Requirements - Proven experience as a Paralegal, preferably in civil litigation.

Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence.

Familiarity with case management systems such as Perfect Law.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented environment.

Knowledge of legal processes and terminology.

Commitment to professionalism and maintaining confidentiality.
