Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in El Segundo, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounts payable and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices with precision, ensuring proper coding and compliance with internal policies.

Manage account coding and verify the accuracy of financial data entered into the system.

Oversee automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and ensure timely disbursements.

Conduct check runs, including preparing and distributing payments to vendors.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions to maintain accurate financial records.

Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.

Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on unpaid invoices to maintain cash flow.

Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

Stay up-to-date with best practices and regulations to ensure compliance in all accounts payable activities. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and financial transaction processing.

Proficiency in account coding and invoice management.

Hands-on experience with automated clearing house (ACH) payments and check runs.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial data entry.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams.

Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in accounts payable.
