Job Description

Responsible for the daily operation and coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency in the Academic Advising Center and K-12 Initiatives Programs. Responsible for administration, management and support of complex programs such as Discovery Academy, Perkins Grant and co-planning and registration of camps.

Salary Range:

$20.45 to $27.12

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of:

Knowledge of communications sufficient to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files

Accounting/budgeting/expense reporting sufficient to monitor and balance multiple budgets and grants

Manage an office or work area by planning, organizing, administering, and directing the work of workstudy or student workers.

Ability to:

Accurately input, verify, and edit electronic data

Typing/keyboarding sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy

Respectfully engage with clients, coworkers, and customers, when handling difficult or complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes

Preferred Qualification

Two year degree or diploma

Experience working in a higher education setting

Experience working with State of Minnesota-specific computer systems and software programs, such as ISRS, etc.

Knowledge of FERPA and the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act and ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work environment.

Knowledge of St. Cloud Technical & Community College and Perkins Consortium policies, procedures and programs.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with experience in document formatting, data management, scheduling, and presentation preparation. Comfortable navigating Windows-based systems and basic troubleshooting.

Superior skills, in organizing, problem solving, prioritizing, and exemplary attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Comfortable adjusting to changing priorities and working through procedures and expectations may be unclear

Other Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
