We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Walnut Creek, California. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, demonstrating strong multitasking skills and a commitment to patient care. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting administrative and clinical operations within the clinic.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate patient scheduling and registration to ensure seamless clinic operations.

Manage medical records with precision, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Facilitate insurance authorization and prior authorization requests for treatments and procedures.

Perform patient intake and eligibility verification to streamline the check-in process.

Support administrative tasks, including maintaining patient accounts and resolving scheduling conflicts.

Triage and prioritize multiple tasks during clinic hours to address urgent patient and operational needs.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care.

Identify and resolve issues that arise during clinic operations with a solution-focused approach.

Uphold attendance and punctuality standards to maintain consistent and reliable clinic support.

Ensure integrity and professionalism in all interactions, particularly when handling sensitive patient information.

Requirements - 0-2 years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in specialty or primary care.

At least 2 years of experience using Epic systems.

Certified Medical Assistant or degree in medical assisting preferred; equivalent experience of 4+ years in a specialty or primary care setting may be considered.

Strong multitasking and organizational skills to manage various responsibilities effectively.

Self-motivated and assertive, with the ability to work independently.

Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of addressing challenges and identifying resolutions promptly.

High level of integrity and commitment to patient care in a specialty medical environment.
