What You Will Do
Hot Section Module Center - North (HSMC-N) is seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support our Special Technologies Business Unit on 3rd shift. You will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction. In conjunction to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department's success.
Responsibilities:
Providing direction to skilled HSMC-N bargaining unit employees
Leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts
Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction
Perform daily supervisor responsibilities including project management, effective communication and execution with support group members.
Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities
Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and continuous improvement
Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through our CORE operating system (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence)
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Engineering, Business with 3+ years of leadership experience with specialized knowledge or technical/operational practices and/or shop environment experience or Associates Degree with 5+ years of leadership experience with specialized knowledge or technical/operational practices and/or shop environment experience OR in lieu of degree, 7+ years of leadership experience with specialized knowledge or technical/operational practices and/or shop environment experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract and only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Experience working with all levels of management and experience in a union environment
Experience with Continuous Improvement principles (lean manufacturing, CORE, etc.

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). Candidates will learn more about role @type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling,prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
Typically requires specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
Typically requires:A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
