Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for the IT Service Manager (Full-time) position in the Information Technology Division. This position is located at Atlanta Technical College's Main Campus, just south of Downtown Atlanta.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Information Technology, the IT Service Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities in the Information Technology division such as electronic data processing, information systems technology, and electronic security. The IT Service Manager oversees the development and implementation of IT projects and initiatives and provides leadership and direction to subordinate staff.
The IT Service Manager job duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:
· Interview, hire, direct, train, and evaluate the performance of employees.
· Define and discuss performance goals or required results at the beginning of each performance period.
· Communicate with employees on progress toward defined performance goals, initiate corrective action when necessary, and maintain written documentation of performance.
· Recommend salary actions, promotions, disciplinary actions, and dismissals based on documented performance evaluations.
· Work closely with users to determine equipment and software needs, recommend packages that fit budgetary and usage requirements, and obtain necessary approvals.
· Coordinate work schedules and resources to ensure efficient installation of equipment and software.
· Define and prioritize IT project requirements, verify adequate data processing, and monitor control adequacy on a routine basis.
· Establish IT policy and participate in coordination of systems and network administration.
· Prepare reports detailing advantages and disadvantages of current equipment.
· Perform system backups and troubleshoot network hardware, software, and cable problems; respond to questions and concerns as needed.
· Schedule downtime and preventive maintenance activities to keep equipment in good operating condition; meet with employees to clarify work orders and due dates.
· Participate in meetings and committees to identify new technologies to improve service and efficiency; conduct independent research and stay updated on technological advances.
· Serve as a link between vendors and IT staff, providing guidance in acquiring relevant products and services.
· Provide training and development opportunities as appropriate; confer with employees to identify specific training needs.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess and demonstrate a Bachelor's degree in a related field AND Three (3) years of directly related experience.
Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:
· Five (5) or more years of supervisory experience in IT, including managing IT projects and staff.
· Experience in IT infrastructure management, including networks, servers, and enterprise applications
· Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and compliance standards.
· Project management certification (e.g., PMP, ITIL, or similar).
· Experience with budget planning and resource allocation for IT operations.
· Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and virtualization technologies.
· Experience implementing IT policies, procedures, and standards in a higher education or large organizational environment.
· Strong vendor management experience, including procurement and contract oversight.
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives across technical teams.
