As a member of the Talent Management Department, the Professional Development Assistant provides support to the entire Professional Development team in the development, retention, and engagement of Firm attorneys.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Coordinate logistics for meetings and training programs

Assist with the annual performance evaluation processes for Attorneys.

Assemble highly confidential and sensitive information/materials.

Create, process, and maintain important documents in accordance with established filing processes.

Maintain personnel files.

Assist with data for mail and/or email merges.

Prepare files for storage or disposal.

Support Continuing Legal Education program reporting.

Maintain various spreadsheets.

Accurately enter information into databases.

Track team budget and reconcile department credit card on a monthly basis.

Process expense reimbursements and vendor invoices for payment.

Answer routine correspondence.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

Assists with miscellaneous projects.

Assists with other related administrative duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

Education:

High school degree required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent amount of education and experience preferred.

Experience:

Office or Law firm experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Strong internal client focus.

Ability to interact professionally and effectively with attorneys and business professionals at all levels of the organization.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple job responsibilities/projects and meet deadlines.

Ability to work well under pressure.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to handle highly sensitive confidential information.

Highly proficient using MS Office.

Strong computer skills to manage performance management software, CLE database, and HRIS databases effectively.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Overtime may be required during period of high workload.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

VISUAL ACUITY

Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
