As an Account Manager supporting produce retail supply chains within Robinson Fresh, your primary goal is to drive growth, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across a complex network of distributors and stakeholders. You will serve as the first line of communication for product distribution, managing store-specific feedback, resolving issues, and ensuring proactive engagement through scorecard performance and inbound freight analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of distributor strategy, and item-level management to support store expansion plans and optimize product flow. You will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver tailored solutions, manage distributor relationships, and support commodity RFPs and pricing analysis. Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strategic relationships across customer supply chains, including independent growers/vendors, PDNS, and stores.
Lead overall program management for 20+ distributors, ensuring alignment and operational efficiency.
Serve as the first line of communication for product distribution and store-specific issue resolution.
Conduct regular business reviews to uncover growth opportunities and drive retention.
Leverage Robinson Fresh tools and category management strategies to design customer-centric solutions using price, promotion, assortment, and merchandising.
Manage customer-specific scorecards with a proactive approach to performance tracking.
Support store expansion plans through distributor onboarding, exits, and realignment.
Oversee item-level management and order guide updates using customer systems.
Assist in commodity RFPs and pricing analysis to support strategic sourcing.
Collaborate with internal SMEs to develop and execute product, mode, or service line opportunities.
Partner with operations and supply teams to ensure optimal execution and continuous improvement.
Advocate for customer needs internally, ensuring alignment and prioritization of resources.
Navigate conflict and manage difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy.
Own account strategy including RFP, proposal, and award management.
Monitor financial performance, volume, and service metrics to identify efficiencies.
Ensure accurate order-level management including communication flow, service failures, and inventory reconciliation.
Manage customer pricing strategies using internal tools and insights.
Support onboarding of new accounts, leveraging automation and defining execution plans.
Ensure compliance with AR processes and negotiated payment terms.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of previous sales and/or account management experience
Ability to travel up to 25% (domestically and internationally)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions
Strong strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills (ability to persuade, motivate and influence others), and business acumen
Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results
Strong prioritization skills, multi-tasking skills, and works with a sense of urgency
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Compensation Range
$27.45 - $42.84
