Job Title: Accounting Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to supervise our accounting staff and manage various financial operations. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements with GAAP and DCAA standards, overseeing month-end and year-end processes, and developing accounting policies.

Responsibilities

Supervise accounting staff and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and DCAA.

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes in a timely manner.

Develop, implement, and train staff on accounting policies and procedures.

Calculate and file monthly sales tax and workers' compensation payment submissions.

Provide documentation and reports for annual workers' compensation audits.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive financial operations.

Essential Skills

Strong technical accounting knowledge.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Proven leadership and management skills.

Proficiency in accounting software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with general ledger, month-end reconciliation, and balance sheet preparation.

Ability to analyze and prepare financial statements.

Work Environment

Work onsite at a shipbuilding facility in Atlantic Beach. The role offers a great opportunity with competitive benefits.

This is a Permanent position based out of Atlantic Beach, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
