Job Title: A&P Mechanic

Job Description

This position involves troubleshooting and repairing business jets. You will perform functional checks and repair various aircraft systems. A

Responsibilities

Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.

Examine and inspect engines or other components for cracks, breaks, or leaks.

Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.

Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories using hand and power tools.

Service and maintain aircraft systems by performing tasks such as flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.

Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts, such as wings and fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic units.

Read and interpret manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Test engine operation using testing equipment to locate the source of malfunction.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

A&P certification

Experience with Gulfstream aircraft

Minimum one year of A&P experience

Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and service bulletins

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Corporate aviation experience, preferably with Gulfstream, Bombardier, or Falcon

At least two years of corporate or private aviation experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Van Nuys, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
