Job Summary
The Network and Voice Engineering Manager leads the design and strategy for global network, voice, and mobility infrastructure. This role manages an engineering team focused on automation, security, and innovation across technologies like LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, cloud, and voice. The manager delivers secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions aligned with business goals and emerging trends. Collaboration with operations, cybersecurity, business units, and vendors is essential. The position supports a hybrid workforce and drives digital transformation across the enterprise.
Job Responsibilities
Set Global Architecture Standards - Define and govern standards for network, voice, and mobility to ensure security, interoperability, and alignment with enterprise principles.
Drive Automation & Orchestration - Lead Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), API, and SDN-based strategies to automate deployment and configuration across platforms.
Lead Capacity & Performance Planning - Analyze trends and forecast demand to design scalable infrastructure for voice, network, and mobility.
Oversee Technology Evaluation & Certification - Manage design, testing, and validation of new technologies to ensure performance, compatibility, and compliance.
Technology Standards & Architectures - Establish and enforce enterprise-wide standards for network & voice infrastructure, routing, IP addressing, network automation, and security to deliver consistent, scalable, efficient, and secure infrastructure that optimizes operations and aligns with business goals.
Develop Vendor & Financial Strategies - Optimize contracts, spending, licensing, and ROI in collaboration with sourcing and finance teams.
Advance Innovation & Emerging Technologies - Promote adoption of new technologies like Wi-Fi 7, 5G, SD-WAN, and AI-driven observability tools.
Ensure Security & Compliance by Design - Integrate zero-trust, encryption, segmentation, and access control into all network and voice architectures.
Lead Project Design & Engineering Governance - Provide technical leadership for global deployments and enforce policies on IP, QoS, security, segmentation, and lifecycle.
Enable Observability & Operational Handover - Build in telemetry and monitoring, and ensure smooth transition to support teams with documentation and training.
Collaborate with Stakeholders - Translate business requirements into scalable solutions and serve as a key escalation point for complex architecture issues.
Job Requirements
Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of management experience supporting large-scale, global enterprises. Experience should include working within complex, distributed operational environments with a focus on infrastructure and technology enablement. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, lead and influence to gain alignment, drive technical standardization and simplification, and drive business value improvements.
Team Leadership & Development - Build and lead a skilled, engaged engineering team with clear role-based job descriptions aligned to core service domains.
Role Clarity & Accountability - Define and communicate roles and responsibilities to reduce ambiguity and ensure ownership across engineering functions.
Coaching & Performance Management - Establish a culture of regular feedback, goal setting, and performance evaluations that drive growth and recognize excellence.

Resource & Succession Planning - Oversee global coverage, workload balance, and future talent needs through structured resource planning and succession strategies.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding - Partner with HR to define hiring strategies, lead interviews, and implement onboarding practices that build a future-ready team.
Leadership Excellence & Alignment - Ensure consistency among senior engineers and technical leads by setting performance expectations and facilitating leadership development forums.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
