Description

We are looking for a part time detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Waterville, Maine. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with a strong background in receivable, billing, and financial audits. The role requires proficiency in Sage 50 and exceptional organizational skills to ensure accurate financial recordkeeping.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Maintain and update financial records to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Verify and reconcile invoices to ensure proper documentation and payment processing.

Conduct regular audits of financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Generate and distribute billing statements to clients or customers in a timely manner.

Utilize Sage 50 software for financial data entry and reporting tasks.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and ensure seamless workflow.

Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management review.

Respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions and provide necessary support.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in financial processes.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable processes.

Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software.

Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail.

Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation.

Ability to handle billing tasks with accuracy and timeliness.

Knowledge of financial audits and compliance standards.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
