Nursing Full-time Faculty Appointment (tenure- or clinical-track - Peds)) ID: 2024-2054 Category: Nursing Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Benefit Eligible: Benefit Eligible Location: St. Paul, Minnesota Office Location: 3900 Job Summary Faculty position teaching in clinical, laboratory, and/or didactic courses working with undergraduate students in a BSN nursing program. Courses are delivered predominately face-to-face. This position will include a primary teaching focus of pediatric theory, lab, and clinical. A sub-specialty is required. Public health nursing or mental health nursing is the preferred sub-specialty. Faculty may also teach similar content in the Post-Bacc BSN program. We are open to hiring an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor for this position. The range for an Assistant Professor is $55,599 - $70,043, Associate Professor is $62,927 - $84,168 and Full Professor is $77,265 - $95,904. Responsibilities Teaching in classroom, lab, and clinical settings; at least 2 specialty areas with pediatrics required and a preference for psych/mental health and/or public health. Other specialty settings as qualified. Teaching in the nursing skills and simulation labs. Function as team leader for select clinical and/or skills courses. Teaching clinical, skills, and/or didactic courses in the Post-Bacc BSN program as needed Evaluation of students in classroom, clinical, and skills settings, including performance exams. General faculty responsibilities include involvement in the activities of the department and university (i.e., participation in teaching teams and committees). Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline Skills Commitment to staying up-to-date on the latest advances in nursing/medicine and changes to best practice standards for patient care in specialty area Commitment to Bethel's core values Commitment to exploring connections between nursing and the Christian faith Commitment to excellence in teaching Enthusiasm for teaching and nursing practice Ability to mentor nursing students, identifying growth opportunities and educational needs Commitment to facilitation of clinical judgment development Effective communication and leadership skills , including leading the pediatric clinical team Flexibility and ability to adapt Organized with attention to detail Ability to work with a team Understanding of and commitment to Bethel's efforts to develop as an inclusive university community Experience A minimum of three years clinical experience in pediatrics is necessary; clinical experience in an additional nursing specialty is required. Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new nursing employees would be an asset. Previous experience working with diverse individuals or groups is preferred. Education A master's degree in nursing is required, doctoral degree or significant progress toward completion of a doctoral degree is preferred. A clinical focus with practice in pediatric nursing care settings is necessary. Current Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility required. Additional Information Compensation: The range for an Assistant Professor is $55,599 - $70,043, Associate Professor is $62,927 - $84,168 and Full Professor is $77,265 - $95,904.
