As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor for and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or potential threats within the government facility.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or criminal activity.
Interact with visitors, staff, and/or the public in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance as needed.
Follow all protocols for armed security-related posts, including proper handling and maintenance of assigned equipment.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or actions taken during the shift according to Allied Universal procedures.

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
