We are currently seeking talented, engaging, and community-focused individuals to join our Resident Services Office (RSO) team at Riverside Plaza. The RSO Coordinator serves as a specialist in the development, implementation and administration of internal facility safety and security functions including maintaining resident security requirements. This role analyzes security documents, manuals, and protocol as the company's designated security officer and maintains appropriate levels of controls. This position performs periodic security inspections and processes clearances/special accesses and debriefing/terminations of such special access.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitors all RSO Staff patrols and maintains a high level of communication with them.
Functions as central dispatching area for RSO Staff.
Monitors closed circuit television (CCTV) for unusual activity and physical protection of employees and residents/tenants for facilities and parking lots, coordinating appropriate responses as needed.
Work with emergency personnel, residents, and the public in a professional manner to solve any problems or provide needed assistance.
Investigate all reported incidents and decidex what actions to take based on situation, known facts, and position limitations.
Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
Performs periodic and random security inspections and prepares security reports as necessary. Issues security violation citations as required by inspections.
Maintains inspection reports and records and advises senior management of deficiencies and remedial/disciplinary efforts to ameliorate deficiencies.
Prepares personnel actions and forms to request security clearance/special access and maintains records of such requests. Briefs incoming staff on security processes and debriefs outgoing staff.
Establishes and maintains procedures on handling, safeguarding and destruction of documents and data in accordance with established processes and appropriate timelines.
Assists in the implementation and administration of automated security systems. Maintains records for periodic secure systems inspections with customer liaisons and other technical professionals.
Fills out miscellaneous paperwork (e.g. parking contracts, key logs, proximity card requests, etc.) whenever necessary.
Notify Resident Services Supervisor of all inspections, elevator problems, and maintenance problems.
Other tasks & duties as assigned based on business need.

Required Experience:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
2-5 years of related customer service experience is required; ideally in a role with emphasis in security and safety.
Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
Military or law enforcement training/experience preferred.

Oral and written language proficiency in Somali, Oromo, or Arabic is preferred.

Proven discretionary judgment with ability to resolve both routine and non-routine conflict issues.
Demonstrated ability to effectively handle a multi-tasking environment.
Knowledge in basic-intermediate computer skills to perform required monitoring, data entry, and dispatch reports.
This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
Must be able to work weekends and evenings on short notice, when necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a residential housing and office setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns.
Exposed to ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment, quiet to moderate noise level.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
ADDITIONAL SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of pre-employment strength test or 'CRT examination' is required.
