Title Ditchrider/Service Technician

Location Southwestern Colorado MVI Service Area

Status Full Time

Relevant Work Experience: Work independently in the shop; and in the field using a company vehicle.

Reports To: Field Supervisor or General Manager

Job Summary: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water delivery service.

Essential Duties Always represent the company's best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism. Proficiently and safely use power and manually operated tools and equipment to perform irrigation installation and maintenance. Water feature troubleshooting, cleaning, maintenance, and repair. Maintain and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles. Attend training classes and seminars as requested by management. Coordinate delivery of water with the MVI system and deliver water to where it is needed. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the turnouts on the ditches. This includes pumping water out of the pipelines, pulling trash off the check structures and the screens to the turnouts, also weed control and fence repair. Monthly meter readings or as required Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the traveling screens and winterization of the turnouts on the ditches and airvacs Maintain written records and reports as required Responsible for company property equipment and tools, including light trucks and heavy equipment. Any duties that may be assigned. Communicates customer challenges related to water orders not matching customer requests.

Requirements: Strong customer service background.

Must have a valid driver's license with clean DMVR

Must be self-motivated, possess strong critical thinking skills and is quality results driven. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities with and without supervision. High school diploma or equivalent. Social Security Card or acceptable I-9 document. Good communication and people skills. Available to work overtime and weekends (as needed) Be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

No prior locating experience is necessary.
