Description

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client on a contract basis in Hayward, California. This role is ideal for someone skilled in managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing detailed financial statements. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data and supporting the office management team.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile transactions across multiple accounts, including bank accounts and credit cards.

Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to manage bookkeeping tasks efficiently.

Prepare clean and organized financial packages for audits and reporting purposes.

Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely payments and collections.

Collaborate with office management and third-party consultants to support financial operations.

Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial data.

Generate detailed financial statements and reports for internal review.

Work closely with team members to address discrepancies and improve financial workflows.

Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Ability to reconcile multiple bank accounts and credit cards.

Experience preparing financial statements and audit packages.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and consultants.
