As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .
As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a bustling retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to provide reassurance to staff and visitors, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. You will also be expected to deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with the public, and act as a reliable point of contact for any security-related matters. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site procedures.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings while on duty, adapting to changing conditions within the retail environment.

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas.
A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
