Machinist - Direct Hire

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

To perform difficult set-ups and machining operations on specific machine tool, using accessory tools and equipment necessary for completion of assignment, and may perform simple, routine set-ups, and machining operations on a limited number of other machine tools; under minimal supervision. General machine tools and equipment (maintains personal toolbox, tools and measuring tools necessary to adequately perform duties).

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

Sets-up, maintains set-up, and fully operates a specific machine tool to the tolerances and specifications as designed by supervisor or drawings.

May perform simple routine set-ups, set-up maintenance and machining operations on a limited number of machines or other tools to shape, cut or dress metal surfaces to manufacturing specifications.

Reads and interprets all drawings necessary to perform the assigned production operations.

Inspects own work and uses precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, vernier height gage, comparator and associated equipment. 1" through 3" micrometers, depth micrometer, test indicator, combination square and required hand tools to check work against prescribed tolerances.

Lifts and moves heavy objects as required.

Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

Must be able to perform basic geometric calculations.

Must be capable of performing effectively as a Machine Operator.

3-5 years of directly related work experience or two (2) years of concentrated machining training.

Highschool Diploma or GED required

Ability to lift 40-45 lbs.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
