The Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC) is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to support the mission of the Finance and Audit Unit of the Office of Workers' Compensation Administration by accurately recording, depositing, and managing incoming funds from all OWCA departments.
The Office of Workers' Compensation Administration:
The Office of Workers' Compensation Administration (OWCA) in Louisiana oversees the enforcement and administration of workers' compensation laws, aiming to support early return-to-work efforts and improve workplace safety. We do not process individual workers' compensation claims or issue benefit payments.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Independently receive, sort, and log incoming checks by department, unit, district, program, and, when applicable, by employee.
Manage the daily deposit process, including scanning checks using the ITMS (Chase Bank) system.
Collect and enter any paper Annual Reports of Workers' Compensation Costs (WC Form 1000) from insurers and self-insured employers.
Serve as the primary contact for inquiries about received and deposited funds, including certified mail from auditors.
Other duties as assigned.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as either a Probational or a Job Appointment (open to all qualified applicants); a Promotion (open to all statewide classified and agency-wide permanent status employees); or by Detail to Special Duty. Current permanent status, classified employees may be required to accept a Probational appointment if selected. If filled as a Job Appointment, there is a possibility that this position may be converted to a Probational Appointment should funding become available.
This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG)and may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2, 3, or 4, at which the vacancy is filled and will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position is an opportunity to advance within this job series. The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
