DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will plan and organize the complete program of consumer nutrition care. This will include nutrition assessments, discharge planning, diet counseling, chart entries, treatment team participation, and nutrition education programs. You will also implement and evaluate nutrition policies and procedures regarding nutrition care. Your work will involve planning and writing modified diets, monitoring menu acceptance, and recommending revisions to the standard menu. As the dietitian, you will participate in committees and meetings regarding the clinical nutrition care of consumers and recommend appropriate nutrition regimen and interventions with other clinical modalities. Some of your duties in this role will include teaching nutrition care programs to consumers and their families, maintaining food service computer program records, and changing meal tickets to current diet prescription. Additionally, you will provide guidance and direction to food service staff performing work in nutrition care for consumers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs. Free parking! QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements:

You must have certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
