Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Glen Allen, Virginia. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting principles and a commitment to accuracy in supporting organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Manage monthly financial closings, including the preparation and review of journal entries.

Conduct thorough account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.

Support the year-end audit process by collaborating with auditors and providing required documentation.

Assist with Accounts Payable and Payroll functions to maintain smooth operations.

Prepare, review, and record contractual agreements and write-offs in compliance with organizational standards.

Generate detailed financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Provide support to the Assistant Coordinator and Controller with various accounting tasks as needed.

Utilize advanced software tools, including Microsoft Excel, Crystal Reports, and Exact Software Macola, to streamline accounting processes. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with coursework in foundational and intermediate accounting principles.

Master's degree in Accounting is preferred but not required.

Minimum of two to three years of experience in accounting with strong attention to detail.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Abra, Crystal Reports, and Exact Software Macola.

Strong skills in accounts receivable, general ledger management, and account reconciliation.

Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, including reading, writing, and conducting business conversations.

Solid understanding of cash activity and cash management processes.
