Responsibilities You will serve as Advanced Tomahawk Cruise Missile and Hypersonic Weapons Mission Planner in the N3 Operations Department, Cruise Missile Support Activity, Atlantic (CMSA LANT) in Norfolk, Virginia. You will independently plan the five new variants of advanced TLAM Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) and Hypersonic Weapons (HSW) missions incorporating all available existing, new and emergent technologies. You will develop and maintains highest level of Tomahawk Planning System (TPS) and Hypersonic Weapons Planning System (HWPS) proficiency. You will collaborate with geopositioning and weaponeering division to verify target characteristics and weaponeering solutions. You will provide technical expertise to support Program Management Activity (PMA) weapon system development efforts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of kinetic and non-kinetic threats to TLAM and HSW to apply, evaluate and address established and theoretical risk to current and projected operational areas of interest. Experience devising innovative solutions to monitor, track, report, and minimize risk or defeat. Experience applying quantitative and qualitative techniques and methodologies to analyze complex plans, strike rehearsals, and exercise scenarios, articulate observations and findings, and implement solutions to enhance overall mission/combat readiness. Experience identifying emergent or evolving operational requirements to evaluate and validate varied data sources, and coordinate the evaluation and selection of data management tools. Additional Information This is a "KEY" position. Incumbents must be removed from their active military recall status as the alternatives for filling the position during an emergency are not readily available, due to the time, training, certification and proficiency requirements necessary for the position. This is a mission essential (ME) position performing a mission critical function (MCF), which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions, IAW DoDI 3020-42, Defense Continuity Programs. Relocation incentives as described in 5 USC 5753 may be authorized in accordance with applicable regulations. PCS is not authorized. Recruitment incentives may be authorized to eligible new hires. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
