Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Bannockburn, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position offering a hybrid work schedule, with in-office work Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail and effective time management skills to support daily operations and ongoing projects.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Verify payment details and banking information to maintain secure and accurate financial records.

Utilize accounting software systems such as SAP and S4 to execute tasks efficiently.

Collaborate with vendors to address pricing updates and ensure smooth supplier enablement processes.

Generate reports and complete project-related tasks to support the accounts payable team.

Coordinate with Genpact and other internal teams for vendor creation and master data governance.

Assist in maintaining and updating financial data within systems like Coupa.

Provide support and coverage during team transitions to ensure continuity of operations.

Uphold high standards of documentation and record-keeping for audit purposes.

Participate in training sessions to stay updated on system and process improvements. Requirements

Proven experience in accounts payable or financial operations.

Proficiency with accounting software systems, including SAP, S4, and Coupa.

Strong understanding of payment verification processes and banking procedures.

Familiarity with ERP systems and master data governance.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

The salary range for this position is $25.00 to $29.00. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
