HOW THE SIMULATION TEAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
As the Simulation Team Manager for the Fort Carson MTC, you will manage the constructive simulation training environment using government provided hardware and software configured to fulfill the needs of an Army Division or below level post exercise.
Leads a team of 8 simulation experts to install, configure, and operate the constructive simulation software operating systems, security, and simulation software necessary to the training environment.
Serves as the lead agent at the Fort Carson MTC in integrating and distributing the simulation data to unit command and control information systems, enabling unit training and warfighting development.
Coordinates the technical aspects of designing command post exercises for units, assisting Army personnel in selecting, designing, and building the most appropriate simulation system to support unit commander's training objectives.
Coordinates with outside agencies and other III Corps MTC sites.
Maintains necessary information assurance protocols on stimulation / simulation systems that includes but not limited to: System lockdown procedures, operating system patches, and stimulation / simulation software patches.
At the Fort Carson MTC, you will work with a dedicated team of professionals who are focused on creating a realistic and user-friendly training environment for the 4th Infantry Division and tenant units on Fort Carson. You will resolve unique challenges every week!
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education : Completed a BS or BA degree, subject immaterial.
Required Experience : Background of at least eight (8) years' experience with military training and training support, with experience in integrating training environments, planning network and simulation architectures and stimulation of Army command and control systems in support of unit training events or exercises.
Required Technical Skills : Department of the Army IAT Level 2 and Computing Environment Certifications
Security Clearance Level : Must possess a SECRET clearance
Required S kills and Abilities:
A personal drive to lead a team of dedicated training support professionals, providing purpose, motivation, and direction
Detailed understanding of the Army's command and control information systems
Solid communication and interpersonal skills; possess strong skills working with Government customers
Preferred Skills: Previous Army leadership and/or staff experience is strongly preferred.

The likely salary range for this position is $86,160 - $116,570. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
