Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee a dynamic accounting team in Newark, Delaware. This role involves managing the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and driving process improvements across accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Direct and oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.

Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports, identifying trends, researching variances, and providing actionable recommendations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues, support planning and forecasting, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls, implementing necessary updates to maintain regulatory standards.

Partner with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and regulatory reporting requirements.

Evaluate and improve existing accounting processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Lead special projects related to automation, regulatory changes, or process enhancements.

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.

Communicate financial results and insights to leadership, providing data-driven recommendations to support business goals.

Monitor and improve operational workflows to resolve issues and achieve organizational objectives. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

Proven experience in accounting management, including overseeing financial close processes and preparing financial statements.

Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and compliance practices.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets and perform variance analysis.

Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Proficiency in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and process improvement.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Experience with audit processes and regulatory reporting requirements.
