Description We are looking for a skilled Administrative Assistant to provide vital support to the Director of Planning in Harwich, Massachusetts. This contract position offers flexibility with 17.5 to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and is ideal for candidates who excel in organization and technology. The role involves handling administrative tasks, managing departmental processes, and assisting with website updates.

Responsibilities:

Deliver administrative support to the Director of Planning, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Organize and process departmental applications, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Assign and manage case numbers for incoming applications to ensure proper tracking.

Update and maintain department webpages using front-end tools.

Retrieve and oversee login credentials and access information securely.

Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook, to complete tasks.

Work with the Civic Plus platform to manage municipal website functions.

Handle data entry and maintain organized records.

Assist with answering inbound calls and receptionist duties as needed.

Ensure compliance with departmental procedures and deadlines. Requirements - Proven experience in administrative assistance or a similar role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Outlook.

Ability to navigate and update websites or online platforms confidently.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Familiarity with municipal processes or planning departments is a plus.

Excellent communication skills for handling calls and correspondence.

Comfort working with web-based systems like Civic Plus.
