We are looking for an interim Senior Accounting Manager to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this long-term contract role, you will oversee key financial operations, including reporting, audits, and process improvements, while providing strategic leadership to the accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. This is a 2-3 month contract position. 100% ONSITE in downtown Dallas until 9/12, then hybrid (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite/work remote Monday & Friday).

Interim Sr Accounting Manager (contract position):

Responsibilities:

Manage the monthly close process by coordinating team efforts and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Monitor and analyze accounting data to generate insightful financial reports.

Lead and coordinate annual audits, ensuring compliance and thorough documentation.

Ensure timely and accurate tax filings in alignment with all regulatory requirements.

Develop and implement improved accounting methods, policies, and principles to enhance efficiency.

Reconcile accounts at month and year-end to maintain financial accuracy.

Collaborate across departments to address accounts payable and receivable inquiries or vendor-related issues.

Maintain vendor records, including obtaining W-9s and updating systems with tax statuses and IDs.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; a Master's degree in Accounting (MAcc) is preferred.

CPA certification is required.

Extensive experience with month-end close processes, journal entries, and payroll.

Proficiency in manufacturing and inventory accounting.

Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel.

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing accounting teams.

Demonstrated expertise in process improvement and implementing efficient financial strategies.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
