Our client, a forward-thinking Public Utilities organization in Yulee, FL, is looking for a strategic and inspiring Accounting Manager to lead financial operations across multiple departments and locations.

What You'll Do:

Lead a diverse range of accounting functions with precision and insight.

Collaborate across departments and locations to streamline financial processes.

Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team - from recruitment to performance management.

Ensure SOX compliance and uphold strong internal controls.

Deliver powerful financial and statistical analysis to support executive decision-making.

Partner with Tax and Financial Analysis teams to stay ahead of regulatory and market changes.

Work closely with senior leadership including the Director of Finance and Controller to align financial strategy with organizational goals.

Champion the use of ERP systems and Excel to optimize reporting and analysis.

Requirements

What You Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required); CPA (preferred).

Proven leadership experience in accounting, ideally within multi-location environments.

Strong command of accounting software/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Deep understanding of SOX compliance and financial analysis.

Experience in the utilities sector is a major plus.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Flexibility to travel within Florida (rare out-of-state travel).
