We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in QuickBooks Online and full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, face-to-face environment and is eager to grow within a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including processing 200-250 invoices monthly.

Issue 20-30 checks weekly, transitioning to ACH payments.

Maintain accurate records and ensure timely payments.

Assist with month-end close procedures.

Collaborate with internal departments, including regular interaction with leadership.

Adapt to evolving processes and systems with a willingness to learn.

Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on discrepancies.

Responsible for accurate coding, verification, and electronic entry of Accounts Payable data into an Automated Accounting System.

Conduct weekly check, ACH, and wire payments to vendors.

Perform research as requested by internal/external auditors and project managers.

Maintain back-end scanning and record retention.

Act as a backup for Accounts Receivable Clerk, Quarterly Sales Tax Reporting, and Month-End Close of both software and books of record.

Perform miscellaneous office duties as required by management.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.

Understanding of Accounts Receivable.

Experience with a large ERP system, ideally QuickBooks Online.

Familiarity with month-end close procedures.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Self-starter with a collaborative mindset.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience in Quarterly Sales Tax Reporting.

Comfortable working across departments and seeking clarity when needed.

Team player who supports others and contributes to a positive work culture.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position with a day shift from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You will work closely with various departments and the accounting manager, providing backup support when necessary. There are opportunities to continue learning and growing, with increased responsibilities as trust is established. After conversion, employees receive company-sponsored health benefits, a 401K plan with a vesting period, and Personal Time Off (PTO), all available after 30 days.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Englewood, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
