Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Scheduler to join our radiology department in Rocklin, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient appointments, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless operations. This opportunity requires someone who is detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule radiology appointments using electronic medical record systems like Cerner and other scheduling tools.

Ensure all appointments are accurately booked, taking into account procedure requirements, provider availability, and patient preferences.

Manage rescheduling requests, cancellations, and emergency procedures to maintain optimal scheduling efficiency.

Input and maintain detailed patient information, appointment data, and procedure codes to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Verify patient insurance eligibility and collaborate with billing teams to ensure all procedures are covered appropriately.

Communicate promptly with patients, referring physicians, and internal staff through written correspondence.

Uphold confidentiality and compliance standards by adhering to departmental policies and healthcare regulations.

Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other department staff to avoid scheduling conflicts and ensure smooth operations.

Coordinate with front desk and patient services teams to facilitate a seamless experience for patients on appointment days. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in medical office administration is preferred.

Previous experience as a medical scheduler, receptionist, or similar role within a healthcare setting is highly desirable.

Familiarity with radiology procedures and terminology is a plus.

Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems like Cerner and other scheduling software.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals effectively.

Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple appointments and records.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
