Our Team. Our Passion. Our Approach. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. This position will be required to perform preventative maintenance as well as corrective maintenance to keep plant equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment.The ability to read and understand blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to aid in troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery.Perform regular and preventive maintenance on equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime.The ability to maintain a variety of machines in the factory such as plasma cutting, brake press, laser, paint line, and welding machines.The ability to interface with other departments to accomplish tasksMaintain a clean work area as requiredWorking ability to follow and apply all applicable safety requirements to comply with regulatory agenciesReport workplace hazards associated with equipment being used, workplace injuries and/or illness, and workplace near-miss incidents immediately to the direct supervisorThe ability to lift up to 50 poundsThe ability to stand for up to 10 hours per dayThe ability to operate a forklift, overhead crane, JLG, scissor liftsShift: 1st shiftDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS ONCE IN THE ROLE INCLUDE:Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a certificate from college or technical school is a plusMust have two-plus years of experience in a related fieldMust have basic hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical & motor control knowledgeMust know and follow standard safety practicesBasic blueprint reading skillsBasic math skillsMust possess own tools appropriate to the job being performedKnowledge and ability to use appropriate tools related to the task.Must have a valid driver's license.Must pass pre-employment and random drug screen.Flexibility to work alternate schedules to accommodate project needs.This job description describes the general nature and level of work expected of a person assigned to this position.
