D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for anOperations Managerfor their Operations Department. The right candidate will manage all activities related to operations and development of company products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the Purchasing, Estimating, Design and Permitting Departments

Develop and Division operations to hit all targets for sales, starts and closings.

Review operations and performance of various aspects of the Division ongoingly. Work with Division President to take corrective action as deemed necessary to achieve goals.

Foster environment and processes that create repeat customers

Recognize talent and recruit, retain, and motivate a team across all functions required to run a successful Division.

Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives

Train and ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government and customer policies, procedures and regulations

Strive to meet or exceed Division Key Results Area standards

Build strategic relationships and a network of business contacts

Ensure Division compliance with all company policies and procedures and enforce all established standards

Work with Division President to provide counsel, guidance and coaching to the management staff in developing their personnel management capabilities and professional skills

Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

Able to travel overnight

Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises two or more subordinate supervisors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required

Seven (7) to Ten (10) years related experience and/or training at a national homebuilder required

Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license

Estimating/budgeting/AS400 spreadsheet skills required

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications

Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to accurately and efficiently process and record large volumes of data

Strong communication skills

Ability to multi-task and attention to detail

Compensation

Annual Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000, depending on qualifications and experience
