Customer Service Representative - Water Utilities

Lenexa, KS | $21+/hour | Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CST

Hybrid after 90 days (Work from home 3-4 days/week)

About the Role

As a CSR II, you'll be the go-to expert for resolving complex customer issues, mentoring peers, and leading process enhancements that make a real impact.

What You'll Do

Be the first line of escalation for customer complaints and complex inquiries via phone, email, and case management.

Process payments, reconcile cash drawers, and resolve third-party payment issues.

Schedule and dispatch field crews for inspections, repairs, and installations.

Maintain and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the CSR Knowledge Base.

Train new team members and provide support during challenging customer interactions.

Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement improvements across tools, processes, and team performance.

Serve as a subject matter expert across billing, dispatch, account administration, and more.

What You Bring

3+ years of customer service and/or dispatch experience.

Strong written communication skills-daily email and web case correspondence required.

CRM experience preferred.

High school diploma or GED (some college preferred).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and business writing skills.

Ability to work on-site full-time for the first 90 days, then transition to hybrid.

Availability for occasional overtime during emergencies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
