Senior Financial Analyst
Technical Competencies:
Financial & Management Reporting : Prepare and compile monthly and quarterly financial and management reports for fixed income businesses. Analyze results and periodical performance, providing insights on key drivers.
Accounting Knowledge : Have strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Data Analysis: Have experience to work with large and complex datasets, transforming raw data into financial reports and dashboards for management review
Cross functional collaboration: Collaborate with cross functional teams, peers/ seniors and business units on deliverables and process improvements
Technology: Utilize financial systems and tools to enhance automation of data reporting and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Actively participate in UAT testing of new reports / processes
Soft-skills and Communication - Have good communication skills and be able to translate ideas and initiatives into workable steps. Be proficient with MS office/ software's that can help draft procedures, workflows and slides for management presentation.
CUSTOMER
Conduct regular, ongoing analysis, evaluation and review of business performance and initiatives against established reference points (e.g., plan, prior year, business cases) as directed
Provide advice and guidance to Finance Management and/or business partners and appropriate stakeholders on a range of finance accounting / reporting or operational processes
Apply understanding of respective business strategies to produce relevant and meaningful data analysis and materials to support the creation and maturation of business goals and objectives
Develop analysis and proper dashboards to illustrate business trends and identify areas of business opportunities
Coordinate and/or consolidate financial information needs / requests among various parties (e.g. business Finance Teams, other stakeholders, external parties / regulators / auditors and/or centralized Finance
Act as a key resource to the business or functional unit by providing relevant and meaningful financial information / data / guidance on specialized procedures and/or issues (e.g. tax, accounting principles, reconciliation / reporting / financial controls / finance processes etc.)
Identify variances and contribute to the analysis, due diligence and execution and/or implementation of potential initiatives, acquisitions and/or business re-structures within defined area of responsibility
Contribute and work with FinOps or Specialized Finance teams to provide input and feedback on enhancing operational activities s (e.g. report production, system queries, process mapping, specialized tracking, analysis and transactional procedural support) where appropriate

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree
5+ years of relevant experience
Accounting designation preferred
The Sr. Specialized Finance Analyst, TDS performs a variety of specialized finance functions in a particular finance area(s) with a high level of technical knowledge to give detailed and well-informed opinions of assigned business activities.

Undergraduate degree and/or

Provides technical guidance and assist staff with most complex aspects of work as necessary

Researches and determines proper accounting treatment for new products and services as needed and communicate complete, thorough and accurate accounting requirements; considers and explains risk management issues prior to implementation, such as determining how the accounting of new initiatives will be monitored and controlled
Performs a variety of activities related to month-end financial closing, which details the Bank's month-to-month financial condition, and/or completion of regulatory reports
Reviews monthly financial activity and ensures transactions are appropriately recorded in proper accounts, such as cost capitalizing vs. expensing. Researches discrepancies and makes corrections and updates as necessary
