As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the property to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location.
Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of individuals, verifying credentials as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including guiding guests and staff during incidents.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.
Work collaboratively with hotel and resort staff to support a welcoming and secure environment for all occupants.
What We're Looking For:
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
