Choices and Snap ET Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Reports directly to the Director and is responsible for the administration of the Choices and SNAP EandT Programs for the Workforce Solutions Panhandle (WSP) Centers. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all established guidelines and recommended corrective action as needed. Responsible for the continuous monitoring of Choices and SNAP EandT program performance levels, development and implementation of strategies, and processes and procedures that will address performance levels to ensure that performance levels are met. Provides staff training on operational processes and procedures. Provides continuous training to staff on program requirements, performance objectives, and effective data entry of customer information. Performs other duties as assigned

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans, delegates, directs, and supervises the work of all Choices and SNAP EandT staff.

Monitors performance goals relative to the Choices and SNAP EandT programs and ensures that performance goals are met or exceeded.

Conduct Continuous Improvement review of active and closed Choices and SNAP EandT files.

Conducts weekly staff meetings for the training and ongoing development of knowledge and skills to meet program performance.

Provides technical assistance and training to Workforce Center staff in operational processes and procedures.

Monitors and conducts analysis of performance in accordance with prescribed performance standards.

Monitoring the outcome of implemented strategies to determine level of achievement of intended objective.

Maintains compliance with all established guidelines, policies and procedures, and recommends corrective action as needed.

Participates in daily, weekly and monthly management meetings.

Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Two or more years of work experience, education and training which provides the required level of knowledge which may include or be comprised of two or more years work experience in the Choices and SNAP EandT workforce development programs.

Must possess demonstrated proficiency in both verbal and written communications and basic computer skills.

Must have a working knowledge of WorkInTexas.com and TWIST (now obsolete) systems.

Must possess a valid drivers license, acceptable driving record, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation. Occasional local travel using personal vehicle required.
