Summary Description:
The Senior Accountant within Commercial Finance is critical to current and future success of the Company. This team member will be a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders while supporting accurate/timely billings and strategic analysis for report out to leadership teams. This team member will have an immediate impact within a high growth potential organization.
Essential Job Functions:
Execution and reconciliation of weekly/monthly billings and periodic financial reporting for North America's Contract Manufacturing business.
Assist Sales Account Managers, Plant Controllers, and Account Receivable teams in research, troubleshooting, and resolving Co-pack related matters.
Work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks with competing priorities.
Utilize accounting knowledge and Excel skills to communicate accounting and financial information for decision support and reporting.
Accurate tracking and monitoring of multiple miscellaneous revenue streams outlined in customer contracts. This would include CAPEX, amortization and minimum volume commitments.
Own a portion of monthly accounting activities as well as financial reporting processes.
Communicate with Co-pack customers regarding billings, including providing support and reconciling documentation on an ad hoc basis.
Complete any required Co-pack related journal entries. Including, but not limited to, accruals for month end revenue, billing adjustments and other miscellaneous items.
Preparing and updating balance sheet reconciliations, including appropriate identification and resolution of any reconciling items.
Assist in preparation of monthly/annual financial flux analysis and reporting.
Develop a solid understanding of the business and customer needs.
Proactive approach to analyzing accounting/financial data and relevant customer issues.
Make recommendations to team/management based on financial analysis, documentation or process review.
Support accounting team with reporting, documentation, and review for audit requests
Create as well as maintain SOPs on the co-pack processes.
Required Skills:
Organized and detail oriented.
Advanced knowledge of Excel. Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and eager to learn other software applications.
Strong cross functional collaboration.
Continuous improvement mindset.
High level of accountability. A self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work independently.
Ability and willingness to work in high functioning dynamic team environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business (accounting or finance).
Active pursuit of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (preferred but not required).
3-5 years of relevant account/finance experience.
SAP/BI experience preferred.
Strong analytical skills.
Advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge of SAP or other large ERP system preferred.
Travel Requirements:
Based in Tampa corporate office with minimal travel requirements.
