SummaryJob Description:BHMG Urgent Care ShelbyvillePRN MAThe MA will be responsible for the coordination of direct patient care activities and providing clinical support to providers within one of our clinical practices.Duties include:- Check in patients, obtaining vital signs & medication reconciliation- Patient medical history information- Navigating electronic health record system (EPIC)- Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients and physicians and will uphold Baptist's mission and core values that drive service excellence.Minimum Requirements:Upon hire, all Medical Assistants will undergo a clinical competency assessment and must successfully complete MA orientation. Those who do not meet the required standards will be enrolled in the Medical Assistant (MA) Trainee Program for further development and reevaluation.- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office, clinic, or similar setting is required. This experience must include direct, hands-on patient care in a clinical setting, such as obtaining manual vital signs, documenting patient history and medications, and performing clinical procedures (e.g., EKGs, phlebotomy, administering injections or vaccines).
