MAPFRE Insurance is seeking highly motivated and intellectually curious college students to join our Actuarial team for a 10-week summer internship from June 1st to August 7th, 2026 in Webster Massachusetts. If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and engaging environment, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience to jump start your career.

As an actuarial intern, you will work on real business projects that will have a lasting impact and contribute to our strategic goals. You'll gain exposure to a variety of actuarial functions through job shadowing, networking, and cross-functional collaboration, while developing technical, analytical and professional skills that support your future career.

Responsibilities

Analyze large data and provide actionable insights

Assist in the building and refining of actuarial models and tools

Present your findings to business partners and leadership

Collaborate with actuarial and cross-functional teams on business projects

Actively participate in actuarial and insurance training sessions, networking events, and community volunteering

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Completion of at least one actuarial exam preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or SAS is a plus
