Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. This contract position will support critical financial operations during a six-week period to ensure seamless business continuity. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in month-end close processes and a strong background in accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately.

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy.

Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparation of financial reports.

Analyze and resolve discrepancies within financial records and accounts.

Collaborate with team members to support corporate financial reporting requirements.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Maintain organized records and documentation for audit purposes.

Provide timely updates and reports to the finance leadership team.

Support ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed during the contract period. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.

Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations.

Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Knowledge of accounting standards and principles.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
