Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in Charleston, South Carolina, and offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in payroll and payroll tax processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll systems, tax compliance, and problem resolution.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough research and resolution of payroll tax notices to address any backlog issues.

Manage full-cycle payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws.

Handle multi-state payroll operations, including tax reporting and deposits.

Prepare and file payroll tax returns in adherence to local and federal regulations.

Oversee payroll transactions and ensure smooth processing through Dayforce.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely payroll tax compliance and reporting.

Maintain detailed records of payroll tax deposits and payments.

Analyze and resolve discrepancies related to payroll taxes.

Provide regular updates and reports on payroll tax compliance and resolution progress. Requirements - Proven experience in full-cycle payroll management.

Expertise in multi-state payroll operations and tax reporting.

Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, including local and federal requirements.

Hands-on experience with Dayforce payroll systems.

Ability to research and resolve payroll tax notices effectively.

Familiarity with payroll tax deposits and returns processes.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and organizational abilities.
