Job Description
The Maintenance Technician, Electrical is responsible for ensuring the operational reliability and uptime of production and facility equipment through expert-level troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems. This role supports high-speed oil & gas operations and requires a strong background in electrical systems, PLCs, and industrial automation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. By utilizing sound planning and organizational skills, the successful candidate will manage maintenance budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential functions are identified in bold and italicized text below.)
Must work safely at all times.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to electrical and mechanical systems to enhance reliability and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Plan and schedule maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Maintain and troubleshoot industrial control systems, including PLCs and HMIs.
Work safely with high-voltage (480VAC) and low-voltage (24VDC) systems.
Modify control logic and electrical circuits to enhance equipment performance.
Monitor maintenance metrics and prepare reports to track performance improvements.
Manage maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
Perform field service tasks including installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
Detect and troubleshoot issues with various equipment, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
Calibrate instruments and sensors to ensure accurate measurements and optimal performance.
Work with electrical systems, including low voltage applications, to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Utilize vision inspection systems for quality assurance processes.
Operate and maintain logic controllers as required.
Operate a company vehicle, as needed.
Regular attendance at the worksite is required.

Maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles. Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and lifting equipment.
Demonstrated ability to operate necessary tools, equipment, and diagnostic computers.

Experience/Education
High school diploma / GED or equivalent experience is required
Minimum of 5 years professional electrical experience
Proven experience in field service roles related to instrumentation or electrical systems is preferred
Familiarity with calibration processes and troubleshooting techniques for various @types of instruments like flow meters, level sensors, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, etc.
Associate's degree or apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
Requires a valid driver's license.
Travel
Travel may be required.
