We are currently seeking an entry-level Construction Safety Manager to join our growing team. This essential role reports directly to the VP of Safety and requires daily travel to job sites across the tri-state area, with the workday beginning on-site at 7am.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the implementation and oversight of the Corporate Safety Program.

Assist in developing site-specific safety policies and procedures.

Monitor construction project activities.

Ensure compliance with government regulations and company safety standards at construction sites in the tri-state area as well as the fabrication facility.

Investigate unsafe conditions and injury claims through procedure, equipment, inspections and worker observations.

Recommend and assist with the implementation of corrective actions and performance tracking metrics.

Create and execute pre-task safety plans.

Participate in safety program audits, coaching and training sessions.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study or relevant work experience preferred

Knowledge of construction and general industry safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements

PC/System knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel

Strong organizational and time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies

Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment

Must have a valid driver's license.

The selected candidate will travel to job sites in the tri-state area to implement best practices.
