Summary You will serve as a Financial Technician in the Recruit Training Command of RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND. Salary for the GS-06 position is: $50,259 to $65,334. Salary for the GS-07 position is: $55,850 to $72,609 Responsibilities You will review problems received and recommend alternate solutions for matters identified in travel program. You will ensure travel costs estimates are within funding allocations and approves travel authorizations and vouchers in the Defense Travel System DTS. You will ensure all purchases by card holders are appropriate and charges are accurate. You will tracks and monitor report metrics for program compliance and sends results of monthly reviews to appropriate personnel. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Manage, allocate and monitor financial resources in compliance with laws, regulations, and policies; 2) Knowledge of procedures required to examine invoices, vouchers and related budget/accounting documents; 3) Verify, maintain, and reconcile accounts, accounting data and analyze and prepare reports. For the GS-06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting and applying financial rules and regulations to provide accurate financial support to the command; 2) Reviewing financial data put into an accounting system for accuracy; 3) Reviewing and correcting financial data to resolve any issues with payments.
