Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Engineering Manager 3 for the Vehicle Engineering IPT Lead for the B-2 Program who can lead and manage a team of diverse engineering staff that includes airframe & subsystems stress, design, materials and processes, mass properties and liaison engineering. This position serves as the focal point for all vehicle engineering cost, schedule and technical performance within the B-2 program, and is based in either Oklahoma City, Oklahoma or Palmdale, California . The Vehicle Engineering Lead supports the B-2 Chief Engineer and Program Managers. The position is the primary liaison between the functional homeroom directorates for B-2 tools, processes and staffing requirements.
The Vehicle Engineering IPT Lead would perform the following statement of work:
Change Request (CR) tracking, review, and approval via RCI and other methods
Technical Review Board (TRB) participation, package planning, presentation, and coordination with Chief Engineer
Program wide document review and tracking
Various proposals from all Operating Units requiring determination of impact, degree of impact, proposal development, and basis of estimate development.
Configuration Management activities as needed
Risk / Opportunity Management
Overall management of 4 specific teams (structural analysis, structural design, sub-systems, and materials and process) total of 60 - 75 people between Oklahoma City and Palmdale
Be the main focal point for all VE B-2 aspects working with program management (PM) and Chief Engineer (CE)
CAM responsibilities for budgetary aspects
Identify staffing needs and work with FHR to fill/backfill

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience
Demonstrated excellence in a vehicle engineering field such as structural design, stress analysis, materials, thermodynamics or similar
Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams in the definition and execution of air vehicle design and/or installation activities to include earned value management principles
Experience with responsibility for the planning and execution of staffing.
Must have a current active DoD Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
ABET accredited Master of Science Degree in Engineering
15 years of progressive technical engineering leadership
Current active Special Program Access.
Current active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Experience with CATIA, TeamCenter, FiberSIM, NASTRAN, FEMAP, MES, AMESim, and/or MATLAB
Experience as a Control Account Monitor (CAM)
Salary Range: $156,500.00 - $234,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
