Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).

4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Experience supporting projects or clients in a Technical Infrastructure or related space (e.g. hardware, software, networking services, etc.) in a public accounting or multinational company setting.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation.

Ability to have strong attention to detail, organizational skills and focus on continuous improvement.

Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.

Ability to propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and tests early, manage time, and follow work plans.

Ability to communicate effectively with management and excellent problem-solving skills.

Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. Every day is a new challenge, and you're continually looking for ways to help our team become more efficient and effective. A team player at heart, you collaborate with our global team, advocate best practices and pitch in where needed. You move fast while keeping your attention to detail, and you tap into your problem-solving skills to support business objectives.

You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with new changes to existing processes.

Provide financial records and supporting documentation to auditors, and assist with the development of process cycle memorandums and procedural walk-throughs.

Use data to extract meaningful insights and monitor the performance of different areas of a business.

Lead accounting advisory for Data Center lifecycle programs, including upgrades and other construction projects ensuring accurate financial treatment.

Manage financial accounting and process optimization for operational maintenance spares and associated program overhead.
