Description of Job
*This is a part-time, term-limited position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2027 contingent upon funding.
This position is eligible for full benefits.*
After a period of training, the schedule is expected to be: In-office Mondays, Thursdays, and Tuesday or Wednesday.
This position provides direct delivery of CSEAP services in accordance with Department of Personnel & Administration (DPA) and CSEAP mission and values and is consistent with behavioral health professional ethics and standards. This includes addressing the needs of a diverse population by understanding and responding in a culturally responsive manner. This hybrid position provides in-person counseling in our Denver office and telehealth counseling statewide.
A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serve as a primary provider of clinical counseling services to state employees. Counseling services are provided primarily to individual state employees. May also serve families and couples upon request or as assigned
As assigned, provides counseling services at pop-up locations throughout the state.
As assigned, provides professional or other coaching services, response to adverse workplace events including grief support, periodic wellbeing webinars or in-person presentations.
Maintains availability to the CSEAP team for regularly scheduled and as-needed consultation on counseling or other cases and for team meetings. Maintains professional expertise in CSEAP services, EAP and/or short-term modalities, and appropriate specialty areas including areas of counseling licensure. Maintains all records in accordance with CSEAP, HIPAA, state law, and ethical standards.

The exceptional candidate will possess the proven ability or accomplishment in the following preferred qualifications:
Recent (within the past 2 years) experience providing counseling to individuals and couples including responding to mood (including suicidality), relationship, and substance use concerns in an EAP setting
Experience providing employee assistance services including presentations on wellbeing topics and/or coaching
Experience providing crisis or critical incident response
Previous State Service related to the work assigned to the position
