What does the Unit Secretary do?

This position supports our Nursing department by greeting, screening, and routing callers and visitors to the facility, and executing administrative tasks such as:

Payroll and billing for the Nursing department

Setting up and breaking down medical charts

Ordering and stocking supplies

Scheduling and staffing oversight

Data collection for quality assurance and performance improvement efforts

We prefer previous administrative assistant experience with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. We anticipate a starting wage of $18/hour if no experience.

A great candidate meets the following criteria:

Great interpersonal skills, collaborating with various disciplines within and outside of the Nursing department as well as interacting with persons served and their loved ones

Very organized, self-directed and able to multi-task

Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills

This position primarily works 8am-4pm every Saturday and Sunday, approximately 16 hours per week. We have some flexibility in start and end times.
