Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Carmichael, California. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in ensuring excellent patient interactions and efficient office operations. Your expertise in customer service and familiarity with medical practices will help support both patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

Respond to patient inquiries and provide accurate information regarding appointments, billing, and medical records.

Schedule and manage patient appointments while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Verify medical insurance details and assist patients with understanding their coverage.

Handle high-volume inbound calls with professionalism and empathy.

Maintain and update patient charts and records using electronic practice management systems.

Assist with patient billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.

Conduct reminder calls to patients regarding upcoming appointments or necessary paperwork.

Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth office operations and patient satisfaction.

Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Operate standard office equipment and software to complete daily tasks. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent is required.

A minimum of six months of experience in a medical office setting or a high-volume customer service role is preferred.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a commitment to excellent customer service.

Proficiency in keyboarding and familiarity with computer systems, including electronic practice management software.

Knowledge of basic medical terminology is essential.

Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism.

Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and billing is highly desirable.
